The auction market remains relatively subdued with most agencies getting sales clearance rates of around 50% at their auctions.
Bayleys is the latest agency to report its results, marketing 28 properties for sale by auction over the last week and achieving sales on 13 of them, giving an overall sales clearance rate of 47%.
At the Auckland auctions nine of the 20 properties were sold, with prices ranging from $580,000 for a one bedroom apartment in a character building in the CBD, to $2,390,000 for a large, modern house on a large section in a gated community at Greenhithe.
At the Hamilton auctions the properties ranged from houses throughout the Waikato to a lifestyle block at Te Kauwhata. The prices of the properties that sold started at $395,000 for a two bedroom unit in Cambridge.
In Hawke’s Bay prices started at $626,000 for a renovated, four bedroom character house with a swimming pool at Hastings.
