Bayleys sold 36% of the homes at its latest Auckland and Waikato weekly auctions and 61% of the homes at its Christchurch auctions.
Out of the total of 59 auction properties in Auckland and Waikato, 21 were sold and 38 were either passed in, withdrawn from sale or postponed.
Of the 18 auction properties in Christchurch, 11 were sold and seven were passed in, withdrawn or postponed.
Highlights of the Auckland sales included a three bedroom house in Remuera that sold for $865,000, a three bedroom house in Ellerslie that went for $715,000, a lakefront house in Takapuna that fetched $1.55 million and a four bedroom house in Titirangi that went for $760,000.
In the Waikato sales were achieved on several lifestyle properties and a three bedroom house at Chartwell fetched $497,500 but there were no takers for several blocks in a new lifestyle subdivision at Gordonton.
